Life Groups

New Life Vernon Baptist Church

NewLife Baptist Church has a network of various small groups meeting throughout the week. We call them “LifeGroups”.  A LifeGroup is small group of people (10 or less) who meet together in homes for an intensive 7 week Bible study course.  A small group gives you time and space to think through who Jesus is and why it matters.  Each week, you get the chance to sit with people who want to grow in a relaxed atmosphere; watch a DVD or listen to a short talk; discuss, learn, grow and ask any question you want. 

Through LifeGroups people are able to participate more fully in:

Leaves L -Loving Relationships
Leaves I – Involvement in Ministry
Leaves F – Fellowship in the Word
Leaves E – Evangelism (Sharing the Good News)

Each LifeGroup provides a safe place for people to grow in meaningful relationships, to know one another, and be known, love one another and be loved, and celebrate one another and be celebrated.  LifeGroups offer the optimal conditions for life change.   Click on the links below to view LifeGroup material:

Risen – Easter Sunday

Join us for “Risen” Sunday!

Easter Sunday, March 27th

 

 

9:00am: Sunday School Breakfast

(Families are invited to have their picture taken for Easter in front of the Resurrection Tomb!)

10:45am: “Risen” Worship Celebration

Join us for a Special Easter celebration with lively Contemporary Music, Testimonies, Youth Presentation, Video Drama, Special Music, and a message from Pastor Chris entitled:

“Resurrection: Myth or Miracle?”

12:00pm: Easter Egg Hunt for the kids following the Morning Worship

 

RisenThe Risen movie releases in theaters nationwide on February 19, 2016, and unravels the events of the resurrection through the eyes of a nonbeliever. Clavius, a powerful Roman Military Tribune, and his aide Lucius, are tasked with solving the mystery of what happened to Jesus in the weeks following the crucifixion, in order to disprove the rumors of a risen Messiah and prevent an uprising in Jerusalem.
